DAY 1 INSIGHTS FROM “IF WITCHES WERE HORSES” – A NOVEL WRITTEN BY: Kolade Segun-Okeowo (KSO)

TOPIC: THE SPIRITUAL RULES THE PHYSICAL (EPISODE ONE)

BIBLE VERSE: For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)

One thing is certain; nothing in the world happens by accident. Two forces are responsible for every action in the world; the physical and the spiritual. Nothing just happen! The people of Onigba-Iwofa were suffering from what they do not know about. The cause of the several deaths that took place in the village was beyond any human understanding.

The choice of Oba Folagbade to invite health officials for massive immunization was no doubt a right step in the right direction. However, when forces beyond the physical are involved in a situation, what ordinarily appears to require simple intellectual and intelligent solution may end up defying all known application of human wisdom. Don’t leave God out of your plans and be like the King’s aide in 2Kings 2: 17.

The character of Agaga abounds in our world today. People like Agaga are boastful and know it all than every other person. They know the cause of every problem and are ready to provide their “prideful” solutions. Surprisingly, people like that are in the Body of Christ. Every problem and crisis facing any man is traceable to “sins” that such have committed. The exhibition of their “holier than thou” lifestyle makes every other person apart from themselves guilty of situations.

Don’t assume you have answers to every problem. Relax, be quiet and learn. What is happening may be deeper than you think. Avoid hasty conclusions and don’t ever rejoice in the misfortunes of others.
